The award-winning Pacific Magazine features the best stories of the University of the Pacific. The annual publication highlights student initiatives and explores faculty projects, new offerings and future plans. The stories connect alumni, parents, donors and friends with the university community.

The Office of Strategic Communications writes, designs and publishes the magazine in coordination with the university's nine schools across its three campuses and many university departments. Pacific Magazine is a labor of love as staff work to bring readers into the university's story.

This year, readers are invited to experience Pacific Magazine in a new way. Exciting interactive features bring two print stories to life, allowing you to see with professors' eyes, learn alongside students and mark your own place in Pacific's century in Stockton.

Bold from the start

1933 Amos Alonzo Stagg, "The Grand Old Man of Football," joins Pacific as head coach of the football program. Previously head football coach at the University of Chicago, Stagg would coach at Pacific for many seasons before retiring at the age of 83.
